Launching January 27, 2025
We know it’s hard to makes friends, so we’re creating environments where friendship is probable.
Small Groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Small Groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
Our groups operate in three “seasons” - Fall (Sept/Oct-Dec), Spring (Jan/Feb-Apr), and Summer (June-July) - making for plenty of opportunities to join or lead a group and try something new. If you’re looking to get plugged in outside of our small group seasons, check out our Events page!

Leading a small group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We give you essential tools to make your small group successful through Leadership Training and a directory where you can register your group so others can find it easily. We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ, and as a small group leader you get to play an important role in that process.
If you are interested in leading, hosting, or helping with small groups, please fill out our form. One of the Kalos church leaders will contact you about the next steps and upcoming details. Thank you for wanting to make known the beauty of Jesus with us!
Leader Requirements:
Kalos is your home church
Agree & adhere to the leader code of conduct as listed on this page
For the safety of Kalos as a whole, we require a background check of all volunteers. Alerts on these do not automatically disqualify you from serving, but would lead to a conversation with our Executive Director to discern what capacity you are able to serve. Regardless, we embrace every story here at Kalos and please know you're always welcome in this community.
Attend a Kalos small group for a full season before leading to have a better understanding of our culture, DNA, values, expectations etc.

Our upcoming Spring 2024 season will be from January 27th-April 18th. Our yearly Small Group calendar is as follows:
Feb-AprilJune-July
Sept/Oct-Dec
-
We love your heart in wanting to serve God’s kingdom where that is! All Kalos small group leaders are required to attend Sunday morning service(s) and call Kalos their home church.
-
We understand some schedules may not make it feasible for a weekly group, but we firmly believe meeting once a week encourages commitment & consistency, which deepens relationships in a significant way. Since our seasons are only 7-13 weeks long, the less frequent you meet, the more disconnect they will be & feel. At this time, we are only offering weekly groups.
-
One of our leaders will reach out to you to go over your group details. In the meantime, please do the following:
Attend our leader training on Wednesday 5/29/24 6-7pm. Dinner, beverages, & childcare will be provided. Please let leadership know if you (and your kids, if applicable) will be there so we can plan accordingly.
Think & pray about who to co-lead with and reach out to them to see if they’re willing. Depending on the topic of the group, we may need to be part of that process.
Determine what the group will be about. Books/curriculum/content MUST be approved before you can move forward. Once one of our leaders reaches out, send them the link to the resources/material. They will let you know if/when it’s approved.
Plan the logistics of your group (with your co-leader/host, if applicable), such as location, time, & overview of what each night will look like. If you need help with a location, our leadership team will work with you with options.
-
In the fall season we all do the same topic as an entire church. The other (winter & summer) seasons, we have what we call “free market” groups. You can choose whatever interests you, whether that be an activity (cooking, soccer, golf, dance, art) or topic (Bible study, finance, photography).
Kalos Church has a subscription to Right Now Media where you can find many options for study groups, discussions, etc. and all are complete with video lessons and often a participant/leader guide to help you. Visit https://app.rightnowmedia.org/join/kalos to join our subscription & browse the library. All topics need to cover the entire season’s time frame.
All topics/content/material need to be submitted for leadership approval before you can start planning for your group.
-
Fill out the form above! When one of our leaders reached out, let them know you don’t have a location. We will do our best to match you with someone willing to host your group. At this time, we are not able to have groups meet at our church building.
-
Whatever day/time works for you! However, we ask groups do not meet until after 2pm on Sundays or during Kalos Night/Unveil.
-
While note technically required, it is HIGHLY encouraged. Co-leaders are very important to the success of a group. Shepherding people is not easy task. That’s why co-leaders are crucial. You have a partner to carry the spiritual load of the group, pray for your members, & coordinate scheduling/logistics. Should you become ill or need to travel, it ensures group can continue meeting.

Here at Kalos we embrace every story and strive to have an inclusive community for all. For the safety of Kalos as a whole, we require a background check of all volunteers on the Serve Team. We follow the guidelines and regulations of Bellevue School District. If there is an alert on your background check, our Executive Director will reach out to hear your story and to determine the best area to serve. An alert does not automatically disqualify you from serving, but might limit you to which area of our church you are able to serve. The safety of our team and guests is a top priority at Kalos Church.

Small Group leaders act as shepherds to our congregation– an extension of Pastors Pradeepan and Amreitha Jeeva, as they walk through struggles, deconstruction of faith, moments of celebration, life changes, and so much more with members of our church. Carrying the weight of this requires a standard we want to uphold.
