KALOS CORPORATE RHYTHMS

Welcome to the Kalos Church corporate rhythms page.
We hope you revisit this page often & become familiar with it.

Your next step is to integrate the corporate rhythms below either by calendar or topic. We recommend adding 2 rhythms into your life and being as consistent as you can with those before adding more. Regularly attending church and a small group are a great place to start!
By adding these daily, weekly, and monthly Kalos corporate rhythms to your life, you’ll discover most importantly, that you’re not alone. As you spend time with Jesus alongside others and on your own time, you’ll become more like Him and do what He did. Remember! This is not a checklist; the goal is to be transformed by His Spirit. It takes time. Most likely, it will mean you will need to say no to other things in your calendar. You don’t have to be perfect and Jesus will help you when you need Him.

In scripture, Jesus tells us what it means to become a disciple.

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. -Matthew 16:24

The first thing we have to admit to ourselves is that no one can take up our cross and follow Jesus for us. Only we can do that and by following the Kalos Discipleship Pathway (KDP), we want to give you tools so you are empowered to take hold of your own discipleship journey and be close to others who are walking with Jesus as well.
A disciple or apprentice is someone who spends time with Jesus, becomes more like Him, and does what He did.
We believe the first step in reorienting your life around Jesus is by starting with ongoing spiritual habits the church is already doing together. We call these corporate rhythms.

The most powerful step you can take is to find yourself in environments with other Christians who are committed to growing in their faith.

We find each other on Sunday mornings at church praying and worshipping together, in weekly small groups, praying and fasting together, sharing our faith with our non-Christian friends, being generous, and stewarding our gifts to encourage and serve the church.
Think of it like going to the gym. We go to the gym where the environment is filled with tools to help us get started toward our fitness goals. Oftentimes, we have to take that first step and gradually work our way to the ongoing exercises that benefit us most. The beauty of the KDP is that 3 times a year, you will take the assessment and be able to track your progress.

Below you will find additional resources to support you in your practices.

“Transformation is possible if we are willing to arrange our lives around the practices, rhythms, and truths that Jesus himself did, which will open our lives to God’s power to change. Said another way, we can be transformed if we are willing to be discipled by Jesus. Then and only then can we become the people we ache to be and live the lives we were destined for.”
