Kalos Communications Director

This role exists to help people feel informed, welcomed, and connected by ensuring every message reflects the heart, clarity, and excellence of Kalos Church.

It also serves to create and steward a warm, inviting, and cohesive voice across all communication channels—from Sunday mornings to social media to marketing—so our message remains clear, consistent, and life-giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and oversee the overall “voice” of Kalos Church across all online and in-person communications

  • Develop and train a small communications team (2–3 volunteers) to work collaboratively

  • Partner with the Media Team to capture and communicate the life, stories, and wins of the church

  • Manage church-wide communication funnels, including:

    • Monitoring and responding to info@kalos.church inquiries 

    • Responding to DMs for prayer requests, questions, and general inquiries

  • Work closely with the Executive Director / Senior Pastors on:

    • Sunday morning announcement language and scheduling

    • Pre-writing mass emails for major events (Jeeva communications)

    • Internal and external communication needs: maintaining an active presence on social media platforms, responding to comments, etc.

  • Plan and prepare monthly communication needs one season in advance, including:

    • Sermon series

    • Events

    • Church-wide announcements

  • Vet and review communications across platforms:

    • Clearstream texts, email campaigns, social media, website, Facebook community page, and Slack general channel

    • Oversee plan your visit/church funnels communication

  • Create and maintain standard communication resources (fonts, logo usage, templates, and guidelines)

Presence Requirements:

To maintain continuity, health, and excellence in the Communication minisrty, the Department Head must be available and present for the following (in additional to general Department Head commitments):

  • Regular Sunday morning attendance

  • Bi-monthly Leadership Meetings

  • Church-wide events such as (but not limited to) Conference, Kalos Night, and Unveil

  • Monthly 1:1 with the Executive Director

Time Commitments:

Weekly hours can flex seasonally. Estimate 2-3 hours a week.
