Last week, we gathered for our Legacy Dinner, a special evening to launch our Legacy Season. We started around the table, sharing a meal and good conversation, and then walked over together to the space that will soon become part of our church home.
The building was once a Hindu temple. That night we filled it with worship. We sang, prayed out loud, and listened as prophetic words were spoken over the space. We heard the vision for what these rooms can become: a place where more people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and find a family. Then each of us picked up a pen and wrote our own prayers on sticky notes, prayers for hope, for transformation, and for the people who will one day walk through these doors. By the end of the night, the walls held the prayers of our community.
November marks the beginning of our Legacy Season! At the close of each year, we come together for a special offering—one that calls us to sacrificial generosity and helps build a legacy for generations to come. Through this offering, we have the opportunity to take meaningful steps toward the vision God has placed before us and invest in the future of the Kalos community.
Legacy Dinner is how we kick off the season. It brings together people who find themselves in a season of generosity to make early pledges and get the offering started. We’re grateful for everyone who came, prayed, and gave, and for the foundation they’ve laid for what’s ahead.
As we look toward 2027, our largest initiative is the expansion of our building, creating more space for us to make known the beauty of Jesus. We also have the opportunity to partner with local, national, and international ministries that are carrying the hope of Jesus into our world.
